Pairs is new card game that's tons of fun and  so easy to learn. It's a modified card deck (numbers 1-10 with different quantities of each).  The main game is fun and there are several other games and variations playable with the same deck (one in the instructions, more with a link online in the instructions), so you'll have a lot of options for one purchase.

The game has several deck designs and the main deck, plus one of the limited edition decks, was made with purple backs just for fans of The Purple Store to have a purple card deck (the owner might happen to know the game designer).

What are the Pairs card game rules?  Pairs is a social game encouraging fun with your friends.  One person gets " out" each hand (and you can optionally assign a fun penalty like telling a joke, taking a sip of a drink, making a funny gesture).  Each box contains the rules but the gist is that points are bad, like golf, and you go around the table with each person deciding whether to " hit" or accept points.  You get points each time you wind up with a pair in front of you and the higher the cards that paired up, the more points.  Pretty simple.  There are a few more subtleties and you can learn more in the video below (if you don't see the video your browser might be blocking it for safety until you update your Flash player).
